Chris Depauw is a versatile artist. His works testify of extraordinary craftsmanship and originality, often with a hidden message. He sculpts in stone, marble, granite and sandstone, but also works with iron and bronze. One by one original pieces, carefully manufactured in traditional materials, witnessing of a complex and labor intensive creation process.

Chris’ works of art testify of willpower and a strong sense of aesthetics and craftsmanship.

Being an autodidact, his skill is based on an intense knowledge of sculpture. His work is a poetic translation of everyday things and happenings. Humor is often present in a subtle way.
